Mercedes has announced the driver line-up for 2015. The team is going to have eight drivers and here Vitaly Petrov the ex-driver of F1 was dropped and that worked in favour of Lucas Auer and Maximilian Gotz. The Russian driver had failed to make his mark when he debuted in 2014 for the Mercedes team. He couldn’t make any points and so, was excluded from the list of drivers for 2015 season under the Mercedes team.
Other than these two drivers, the Mercedes team will have 6 other drivers who are: Paul di Resta, Pascal Werhlein,Gary Paffett, Christian Vietoris, Robert Wickens and Daniel Juncadella. With so many drivers in the team, the format will be two races every weekend.
Paffet being very experienced will be handed the duty of neing in charge and will also front the set up for the ART Grand Prix. This is because the French team has announced that DTM will be included as a customer team and this is will a first in its history. He will be driving along with Auer. Continue Reading
